Harry's Beach Talent Show is the animated home video special of Harry and Friends which was first released on VHS August 15, 1995 and is hosted by Harry D. Rabbit (voiced by Jay Baruchel) and Billy Joel (voiced by himself) and they are two talenters who host the special as well as Harry's dog Spot. The other talenters are Amy Fourpaws (voiced by Becky Thompson), Steve Perry (voiced by himself), Wendy Wong (voiced by Megan Miyahira the star of Kidsongs), Earl Earwax (voiced by Taylor McCluskey), Olivia Rabbit (voiced by Mara Wilson (talking only) and Gracie Weinfield (singing only) the younger sister of Gus Weinfield), Joey Earwax aka The Hare (voiced by Corey Parker), Sherrie Swafford (voiced by herself), Thomas J. Turtle aka The Tortoise (voiced by Martin Lawrence, singing voice: Stevie Wonder), Sammy Turtle (voiced by Danielle Harris), Tracie Barnes (voiced by Jessica Vaughn), Village People (all voiced by themselves), Graham Dent (voiced by himself), Cyndi Lauper (voiced by herself), Stinky Jones (voiced by the late Ian Crawford) and Michael Jackson (voiced by himself). The special was later released on DVD on March 28, 2000 and Blu-Ray in 2008.

Act 2: Man In the Mirror

Harry D. Rabbit (hosting): It's time for act number 2: Man In the Mirror performed by Village People, Stinky Jones and Michael Jackson which is also a boys act.

Graham Dent: Michael, Stinky wants to join you, the Village People, The Tortoise, Earl and me.

Stinky Jones: Michael, Michael, wait for me! Guys, I'm coming! (runs onstage to join Michael, Graham, The Tortoise, Earl and the Village People members) Michael, can I rap to it too?

Michael Jackson: Sure, Stinky.

Stinky Jones: That's the spirit.

Michael Jackson: Stay focused.

Stinky Jones: Ok.

Act 3: The Perfect Fan - Ballet

Harry D. Rabbit (hosting): Amy is doing ballet with the song "The Perfect Fan", Wendy's favorite. And did you know it's Act number 3?

Billy Joel (hosting): She has memories of her late mother.

Amy Fourpaws: Oh, and one more thing. Don't forget to look before you leap.

Amy Fourpaws (singing): It takes a lot to know what is love

Amy sings "The Perfect Fan" when she dances ballet and Billy and Harry join in the singing in the final chorus while Billy plays the piano and Mr. Conrad plays the violin. Wendy loves this song because it is her favorite but she does not appear in this act.

Act 4: Strung Out

Harry D. Rabbit (hosting): Earl got scared and nervous at first at performing at the Talent Show, but he overcame his fear and he's not scared anymore. He is performing Act number 4 "Strung Out". So give him lights right now! Let's go.

Earl Earwax: Turn it up. Give me lights! (and the lights shine)

Earl Earwax: Are you guys ready?

The Tortoise, The Hare, Sherrie Swafford, Graham Dent, Mr. Conrad, Fred Lauper, Tracie Barnes and Sammy Turtle: Yeah!

Earl Earwax: (before his singing) Alright, don't keep me waiting, let's go!

Earl Earwax (singing): One very happy warm summer night, I saw your face what could I do?

So carefully I walked straight up to you.

Earl Earwax (spoken): Strung out!

Earl sings "Strung Out" while dressed up like Steve Perry and his older brother barrows Harry's guitar for this act and plays it dressed like Neal Schon, The Tortoise plays the drums dressed like Steve Smith, Fred plays the keyboards dressed like Jonathan Cain, Graham plays the bass dressed like Ross Valory and Sherrie, Tracie and Sammy are backup dancers in their Mexican dresses. After that, the audience claps and cheers and Harry asks the Hare if he can have his guitar back now and The Hare agrees and hand the guitar back to Harry. He congratulates Earl for singing in the talent show the first time and overcoming his nervousness and fear.

Act 5: Put Your Little Foot, Right There

Harry D. Rabbit (hosting): It's time for Act number 5 Put Your Little Foot Right There so I get to perform with Billy, Amy and Spot and my little sister Olivia and other friends Earl, Steve, The Hare, Stinky, Wendy, Tracie and Sherrie are joining in too. We're doing it with our hands, hips and feet right away!

Amy Fourpaws: Wait a minute, wait a second! We can't just do this with our feet. We're gonna do this with our hands, our hips and our feet.

Billy Joel: Yeah, that's right, Amy.

Steve Perry: How are we getting ready?

Amy Fourpaws: Right away.

Billy Joel: Yeah, that's right, Amy. We're getting ready to do it right away.

Harry, Billy, Spot and Amy sing "Put Your Little Foot, Right There" while pointing out their hands, hips and feet and walking and turning in a circle together. Also, Olivia, Earl, Steve, Joey aka The Hare, Stinky, Wendy, Tracie and Sherrie join in with them.

Act 6: The Locomotion

Billy Joel (hosting): Harry is getting ready for the Locomotion which is Act number 6. He is the vocals and his friends are backups. You're gonna see him as he sings and dances with the locomotion. Harry's Locomotion coming up!

Harry D. Rabbit: Chugga-Chugga-Chugga-Chugga-Choo-choo! All aboard for the train ride!

Mr. Conrad: Harry, Harry, I can see you from here.

Harry D. Rabbit (singing): Everybody's doing a brand new dance now


Harry sings "The Locomotion" while dancing like a train and his friends are backups and Olivia is mentioned. This is also the only act he doesn't host because he is getting changed into his train engineer outfit so Billy hosts this act. Mr. Conrad is surprised and happy with this act and is very proud of Harry for doing the locomotion. The Locomotion is Mr. Conrad's favorite song from the beach talent show of all time.


Act 7: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Harry D. Rabbit (hosting): Cyndi and Amy along with all the other girls are performing Act number 7 Girls Just Wanna Have Fun which is also a girls act.


Billy Joel (hosting): Now, take it away, girls!


Amy Fourpaws: Wait! We're not ready yet. First we need our party hats on.

Other girls: Oh, party hats! We get it!

Cyndi Lauper: You're right, Amy. We're putting our party hats on now. Ready, Amy?

Amy Fourpaws: Ready, Cyndi.

Cyndi Lauper: Ok, let's go, girls!

Tracie Barnes: This is so exciting! Cross your fingers!

Harry D. Rabbit (hosting): Ok, it's time for Act number 8: Oh, Sherrie. Steve Perry's girlfriend Sherrie Swafford is coming right away.

Billy Joel (hosting): And now, performing "Oh, Sherrie", we have Steve Perry, Harry's dog Spot, Wendy Wong, Harry D. Rabbit....

Harry D. Rabbit (hosting): Yeah, that's me.

Stinky Jones: Everyone put their tap shoes on?

Steve Perry, Sherrie Swafford, Sammy Turtle, Graham Dent, The Tortoise, Tracie Barnes, Earl Earwax and The Hare: Yes!

Stinky Jones: Alright, here we go!

Stinky sings "Twelve O'clock Rock" while he tap dances and Steve, Sherrie, Sammy, Graham, The Tortoise, Tracie, Earl and The Hare join in with the tap dance.

Act 10: We Are The World

Harry D. Rabbit (hosting): It's almost time to go, but there's one more thing "We Are The World" and Mr. Conrad and Kenny Loggins despite his arm in a sling are gonna be joining all of us for this act. So follow me.

Harry D. Rabbit: Mr. Conrad, now that you're back, you and Kenny Loggins can join us for the Beach Talent show finale.

Mr. Conrad: I'd be honored, Harry.

Harry D. Rabbit: Hey, Mr. Conrad, what's your favorite song from the beach talent show?

Mr. Conrad: The Locomotion from Act 6. I love the Locomotion.

Harry D. Rabbit: Cool. (to Amy) Amy, your sisters are back!

Amy Fourpaws: Yes! (when her sisters come back onstage) Molly, Jenny!

Molly Fourpaws: Hello, Amy!

Jenny Fourpaws: Hi, Amy, we're back!

Molly Fourpaws: Hi, guys, how's it going?

All: Good.

Harry D. Rabbit: And also Kenny's here!

Kenny Loggins: (coming onstage back from the hospital with his left arm in a sling) Hi, Steve! Hi, Sherrie! Hi, kids! Hi, Spot!

Steve Perry, Sherrie Swafford, Harry D. Rabbit, The Hare, Earl Earwax, Wendy Wong, Amy Fourpaws and Stinky Jones: Kenny, you're back! (and hug him)

Sherrie Swafford: Kenny, are you okay?

Kenny Loggins: Yes, Sherrie, I'm better now.

Harry D. Rabbit: I'm sorry, Kenny, you came here a little late.

Kenny Loggins: That's okay, Harry, I was in a hurry.

Amy Fourpaws: Kenny, you were running a little late, but I'm glad you made it just in time.

Kenny Loggins: Thanks, Amy.

Steve Perry: Glad you came here, Kenny.

Kenny Loggins: Thanks, Steve Perry.

Earl Earwax: Kenny, what happened to your arm?

Kenny Loggins: I fell down yesterday while I was skateboarding and I broke it, Earl, so I was in the hospital and the doctor wrapped it in a sling. See?

Earl Earwax: Yes. Me too, but my right arm was in a cast once. It was hurt but it healed and it's better now.

Stinky Jones: Kenny, why were you late?

Kenny Loggins: I was in the hospital for overnight, Stinky, and I was in a limo.

Wendy Wong: But I'm glad you came here safe.

Kenny Loggins: Me too.

Harry D. Rabbit: So what's your favorite song from the beach talent?

Kenny Loggins: My favorite song from the beach talent show is Strung Out from Act 4.

Harry D. Rabbit: Wow, that's cool. And these are our other friends, Billy, Cyndi, Sammy, The Tortoise, Michael, Tracie and the Village People!

All: Hi, Kenny.

Kenny Loggins: Hi, guys.

Billy Joel: I'm glad you made it here.

Kenny Loggins: Thanks, Billy.

Spot: (barking)

Mr. Conrad: Hi, Spot, you're so cute!

Kenny Loggins: You're such a good boy, Spotty-boy!

Harry D. Rabbit: He likes you two.

Spot: (barking)

Harry D. Rabbit: Sure you can join all of us too, Spot!

Harry D. Rabbit: Ok, is everybody ready?

Everybody: Yeah!

Harry D. Rabbit (before his singing): Good. Now everybody, follow me.

Harry leads with singing "We Are The World" and all the others join in and Spot also barks in the chorus and then Amy and Harry sing with a big finish. This version also has no fadeout, just a big finish.

Amy Fourpaws (singing, big finish): There's a choice we're making. We're saving our own lives

Harry D. Rabbit (singing, big finish): It's true. We'll make a better day.....

As the special closes everyone is saying goodbye.

Harry D. Rabbit (hosting): I guess it's time for us to go now because I have to close this special and the Beach Talent Show is over until next time. Say goodbye, Spot.

Spot: (barking)

Cyndi Lauper: (to the viewers) Bye!

Michael Jackson: (to the viewers) Bye! We love you!

The credits roll with the song "Faithfully" as Harry and his friends and their families as well as the other Journey members and the rest of the Barnes family perform a talenter dinner party at dinnertime.
